At Exceed Health Hub, we are pleased to offer Clinical Pilates tailored specifically to expecting and new mums. Clinical Pilates is a great way to stay active during and after pregnancy. Benefits include strengthening your core, pelvic floor, upper body, legs and glutes. These are all important muscle groups that are needed during pregnancy, childbirth and then for life as a mum.
Despite how you feel, 30-45 minutes of exercise is recommended during pregnancy as it provides several health benefits including reduced musculoskeletal pain, improved mood and weight control. It can also reduce the risk of more serious pregnancy-related complications such as hypertension and pre-eclampsia. Through pregnancy and patient-specific exercises, your Clinical Pilates program will help prepare the body for childbirth whilst also keeping you moving throughout your pregnancy. As our Clinical Pilates services are individualised and heavily guided, all Pilates exercises assigned to our pregnant women are deemed safe during pregnancy. Our qualified Clinical Pilates instructors are able to modify any exercise that causes you pain or discomfort.
After bub has arrived and you’ve been given the “all clear” to return to exercise, our experienced instructors will guide you through a brand new personalised program aimed to assist you with the physical challenges of early motherhood.
